Ingredients
Scale
Main Seafood Ingredients:
- 2 large (16 ounces / 454 grams) wild-caught salmon filets
- 1 (8 ounces / 227 grams) cup jumbo lump crab
- 1/2 pound (8 ounces / 227 grams) shrimp, peeled and deveined
Cheese and Seasoning Ingredients:
- 4 ounces (113 grams) cream cheese, softened
- 1/4 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tablespoon Old Bay seasoning
- 1 teaspoon cardamom
- 1 teaspoon Badia complete seasoning
- 1 teaspoon adobo seasoning
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 2 teaspoons paprika (separated)
- Salt and pepper to taste
Additional Ingredients:
- 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
- 1/4 cup parsley, chopped
- 2 tablespoons green onions, chopped
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons butter
Instructions
- Prepare the oven at 350°F and gather all necessary ingredients. Finely chop garlic, parsley, and green onions, then season shrimp with salt and pepper.
- Melt butter in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add garlic and paprika, sautéing briefly to release aromatics. Introduce shrimp and cook until lightly golden, approximately 3 minutes. Transfer to a separate plate.
- Create a creamy mixture by blending cream cheese, herbs, lemon juice until smooth. Gently incorporate crab, shrimp, cheeses, and seasonings, being careful not to overmix the delicate seafood.
- Season salmon filets with salt, pepper, and Old Bay seasoning. Place one filet in a baking dish, spread seafood stuffing evenly, then cover with the second filet to create a stuffed salmon sandwich. Keep additional stuffing for later topping.
- Dot the salmon with butter and bake for 20 minutes, allowing the fish to cook through and flavors to meld.
- Remove from oven, distribute remaining stuffing across the top. Switch to broil and cook for 5 additional minutes until the surface turns golden and slightly crispy.
- Garnish with fresh parsley and accompany with your preferred side dishes like roasted vegetables, rice, or creamy mashed potatoes.
Notes
- Choose fresh seafood to elevate the flavor and ensure the best taste for your stuffed salmon.
- Pat salmon and shrimp dry before cooking to prevent excess moisture and achieve perfect browning.
- Avoid overmixing the stuffing to maintain delicate texture and prevent breaking seafood pieces.
- Adjust cooking time based on salmon thickness – thicker cuts might require slightly longer baking to ensure even cooking.
